VEHICLE APPROVAL - Technical changes to HERCULANO vehicles to comply with the new Regulation (EU) 167/2013

 

Safety is an essential value and vehicles must be designed, built and manufactured in such a way as to minimize the risk of injury to people in the area around them and other road users.

 

National legislation has changed and vehicles have to meet new technical requirements in order to protect the driver in the event of an accident and reduce its severity.

 

HERCULANO's concern is not only to ensure compliance with the legal requirements for vehicles to circulate on public roads, but also to guarantee maximum safety for its users.

 

The vehicles are evolving, incorporating different technical features according to the category and product range:

• 3-position manual valve for hydraulic braking, which allows the pressure to be adjusted according to the vehicle's load (maximum load - medium load - minimum load) and thus allows the braking forces to be controlled.

• Approved bumpers that improve people's safety by minimizing the consequences of accidents in rear-end collisions and preventing a driver from being trapped in the back of an agricultural vehicle.

 

 

This is a protective device that absorbs impact energy, made up of one or more crossbars and fasteners for mounting, attached to the stringers or to the element that performs their functions and designed to mitigate bodily injury and reduce material damage resulting from a collision involving the rear of the vehicle.

• Side lights to indicate the presence of the vehicle when viewed from the side and thus better distinguish the vehicle in the fields and on the road.
• P2 reflective signs, applicable to vehicles > 2.55m wide, for drivers to see the vehicle more effectively.
